Dear Friend,

When it comes to investing and managing a business, analyzing the financial statement information (also known as quantitative analysis), is one of, if not the most important element in a fundamental analysis process.

The massive amount of numbers in a company's financial statements can be bewildering and intimidating to many executives, managers, directors and investors. Through the financial ratio analysis, you will be able to work with these numbers in an organized fashion.

In good times and bad times, the quicker way to size-up the performance of an enterprise is to make a cursory check on the available financial statements to come out with certain justifiable figures to form a conclusion. The business or financial ratios, which can be quickly added and compare against the other items in the financial statements, will obviously give a vivid picture of the managing of the business. Most people will have to prepare for the liquidity and solvency of their businesses to maintain their ability to pay debts on times. Demands from their creditors, bankers and investors can sometimes be threatening. They cannot ignore the profitability, leveraging, gearing and overtrading of their businesses that undermine the true value of their businesses. Growth of businesses will be retarded, and creditors and banks will shun from doing business with them.
